I'm Youssef!

I hold a bachelor’s degree in architecture from McGill University. I was one of the 11 international students admitted in my year and the only student to be admitted with the James McGill Entrance Scholarship. During my time at McGill, I gained a solid foundationin architecture design, construction methods and learned a variety of CAD programs used by the industry today.

I was actively involved in various design competitions with both architecture and civil engineering teams, fostering my ability to work in diverse environments. My experiences fueled my passion and nurtured my creativity and problem solving skills, which I use today as an architect in training. In my roles as junior desginer and architecture technician, I played an important part inthe development of both commercial and residential projects in Montreal and Ottawa. I actively engaged with clients to understand their needs. Additionally, I worked closely withcontractors, engineers, and city officials to get permits approved through rigorous andstrict municipalities in patrimonial neighborhoods. I am proficient in industry standard programs used by most offices today, enabling me tocreate compelling architectural presentations that include plans, elevations, sections, and3D models. I always try to stay updated with the newest trends and advancements in architecture, attending lectures, conferences, and workshops regularly to expand my knowledge and learn new skills.

What sets me apart from my peers, is my ability to balance aesthetic appeal withchallenging constraints, small budgets and strict regulations. I believe architecture should not only be visually pleasing but also enhance the well-being of the user. I work hard to design spaces that resonate with the needs and taste of occupants.
