SAINT LAURENT RESIDENCE

Montreal, Canada.
Project status: Under construction
The Saint Laurent project, situated in the vibrant heart of Montreal's plateau area, is an ambitious project that includes both residential and commercial spaces. Presently, it is in the permit phase, gearing up for construction next year. This multifaceted project comprises four levels, with a cleverly designed fourth level that steps back, seamlessly blending with the neighborhood's topography while granting spacious terraces to the luxury units on this floor.  The unique use of this stone facade stands as a testament to the meticulous planning and attention to detail that characterizes the Saint Laurent project, making it an exciting and promising addition to Montreal's urban landscape.
Because of the project's sheer depth, voids/mall courtyards, and strategically placed light sources are stragically incorporated into the design to optimize apartment layouts. One of the most remarkable features of this design is the stone facade's unique geometry. This facade not only adds a distinctive aesthetic to the structure but also serves a functional purpose by maximizing the ingress of natural light into the apartments.

Given the expressed interest of a potential commercial car rental tenant to lease the building's commercial section, a deliberate decision has been made to set back and conceal the underground parking entrance using a colonnade. This design choice aims to shield the building from the unappealing sight of typical garage doors, preserving its overall aesthetic appeal.
